Happy New Year! I know it is nothing super fancy, but I crave something as simple as deviled eggs. This is just one of several small morsels that will be enjoyed as we get ready to ring in the New Year 2014 in the bucolic Napa Valley. It is great to just be alive. Like I say: Cheers, Ching-Ching and enjoy the good life in the napa valley. A nice place to live and smile.
I had my first opportunity to try celebrity chef Huebert Keller’s Burger Bar in San Francisco and have never been so disappointed in my life. No flavor. Blah. So disappointing. Nothing. And the price for what you get is sky-high. I’ve had a better burger at a drive-through talking to a clown face. You go to his sixth floor eatery at Macy’s simply for the view of Union Square in San Francisco. And to top the whole thing off — the service was horrible. They gave me the wrong bill. It took them at least another 15 minutes to figure the whole thing out. It can’t be that tough — a party of two and we get a bill for a six top?
Yummy! This was my first time to have a fried pickle. It is on the menu at The Pear, which is on the Napa Riverfront complex of shops and excellent restaurants. The eatery prides itself on its fine Southern bistro style cuisine. All I know is that I can’t get enough of this place. I could almost make a meal on the pickles along with another starter.
During my travels along the backroads of Sonoma Valley I came across this address near a winery. For those who don’t know 5150 is a police dispatch code for a crazy person.
After crush and before the cold weather settled in, I was captivated by this simple view at Del Dotto Winery on Highway 29, south of St. Helena in the intoxicating Napa Valley.
These great women from Dallas were truly a great group. They were beautiful, fun and funny. There is no better way to spend a day than with these great people and showing them a great time in the Napa Valley. I think it is so much fun to see visitors having such a great time in the Napa Valley. I sure hope they come back for another fun-filled weekend. This isn’t even work
